Request Data
The full data files are free for research and public-interest use.
These data are public records and there is nothing particularly sensitive about them. To be honest, my reason for asking folks to say what they are using the data for are purely personal. As a researcher in an academic setting, it never hurts to be able to demonstrate the impact of your work.
The request here is not to screen or gatekeep access to the data, but to get a sense of how these data are being used, who is using them, and what kinds of research questions they are helping to answer.
If you have any questions or concerns about this request, feel free to contact me at .
What you’ll receive: a share link to the release folder you picked. See working with the files for how to read parquet files in R, Python, or Stata.
Before requesting, you may want the data dictionary and sample data. DESE’s Missouri Financial Accounting Manual defines the revenue, expenditure, and project codes used throughout these data.
